Most recently, Paul was President and Chief Executive Officer and a Director of CanEra Inc, (2014-2017), CanEra Energy Corp., (2010-2014) and CanEra Resources Inc. (2008-2010).
Prior thereto he held the same positions at Canetic Resources Trust and its predecessor Acclaim Energy Trust. He also served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Ketch Energy Ltd. from April 2000 to October 2002.
Prior to joining Ketch, Paul held the positions of Managing Director and Vice President and Director with the Capital Markets Group of BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., Vice President of Finance with Morrison Petroleums Ltd. and has served as Corporate Director of Legacy Oil and Gas, Canetic Resources Trust, Acclaim Energy Trust, Creststreet Asset Management, Kereco Energy Ltd., Ketch Energy Ltd. and TriStar Oil and Gas Ltd. Currently Paul serves on the board of Veresen Inc. and Edge School of Athletes.
Jason Scheir is the U.S. Head of Apollo Management's Illiquid Opportunistic Credit business, and is a member of the Global Illiquid Credit Investment Committee. He currently serves on the board of directors of Genco Shipping & Trading and Ridgeback Resources. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Scheir worked at Tailwind Capital, a middle market private equity firm. Prior to Tailwind, Mr. Scheir was a member of the Restructuring Group and Mergers & Acquisitions Group at Rothschild Inc. Mr. Scheir graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a BS in Applied Economics and received his MBA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.
Jonathan Shifke is a Vice President with GSO Capital Partners, where he has focused on distressed and special situations investing. Prior to joining GSO in 2014, Mr. Shifke was an Associate with Rhône Capital, a private equity firm specializing in cross-border and trans-Atlantic leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations. Before joining Rhône, he was an Analyst in the Oil & Gas Investment Banking Group at J.P. Morgan Securities, LLC. Mr. Shifke graduated magna cum laude from Princeton University with an A.B. in History.
Michael Tu is a Managing Director in the Liquid Opportunistic Group at Apollo Management. Mr. Tu joined Apollo in 2006 and has predominantly covered the energy and metals & mining sectors since that time. Prior to joining Apollo, Mr. Tu was an investment professional at Xerion Capital Partners from 2003. Mr. Tu began his career at TD Securities in its Derivatives Capital Markets group and in its High Yield Research group prior thereto. Mr. Tu graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a BSc in Economics.
